Dr. Rahul N. Karimungi is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist practicing at Janani Heart care Clinic, Solapur and at Ashwini Rural Medical College & Hospital, Kumbhari, Solapur.

Dr. Rahul has seven years of experience in the field of Cardiology and has performed more than 3000 Angiographies, 1200 Angioplasties including high-risk angioplasties: Left-Main, bifurcation and renal angioplasties. He is specialized in pediatric and adult structural heart disease interventions- has successful carried out 50 Atrial septal defect, Patent ductus arteriosus device closure procedures (hole in the heart). He has performed >100 permanent pacemaker implantations and Inferior Vena Cava filters insertions.

He has been invited as an Expert Speaker at more than 75 webinars to address General Physicians and other healthcare professionals about the latest guidelines and rational prescribing in Cardiology at the district, state and national levels. He actively participates in educating the general public about ‘Healthy Heart’ practices via social media platforms like Facebook Live. Currently, Dr Rahul is a faculty member at the Ashwini Rural Medical College in Solapur and teaches interns and postgraduate students.
